cst MWS is not suitable for large structure. It is based on Finite integration Technique and uses volume discretization. I think, you should use ADS Momentum of FEKO Software. Hello fxth, What do you mean by semi-infinite?? Is it like finite dimension in say X-axis and infinite in Y-axis? For this use periodic boundary conditions in ?Y axis, keep rest open add space. if you go to dispersion in material properties of any particular material, there is user defined list. you can check the dielectric values and functions

Hi Rancid, As you said electric boundary is analogus to Perfect Electric conductor (PEC). magnatic boundary condition is for Perfect Magnetic conductor (PMC). These conditions are useful in creating walls, also for waveguide port. Regards

hi i think you need to make sure your near field monitor is inside the simulation domain specified by you using boundary conditions you can manually add space or use open(add space) boundary condition to resolve this problem i hope this helps regards

U need to use open ad space in the boundary condition. In your case the boundary is touching one of the metal surface ^.^
First of all can u please upload the Fig from what u r simulating he book. There are many potential errors in your simulation. 1)port 1 -50mm away from your structure 2) boundary condition are not right 3) the structure is neither coplanar fed nor microstip type. 4) There is no ground plane.
