I'm trying to simulate this circuit to obtain the small signal gain i.e. VR1/V3. Having set up a transient analysis I placed a GND at the negative terminal of the DC supply, by doing this the voltage across V3 was not the right value even with the differential probes. Placing the GND at the negative side of V3 solved this but then VR1 was (...)
The original circuit can be solved with loop analysis, however it's also solvable by inspection. Here's how I would do it: 1.
