Sure. But since the ground dielectric constant is somewhere between 2 and 60, I would be tempted to load the horn with a plastic with an er of around 10.
I need a power amplifier circuit for (ground penetrating radar) project, i have a Pulse generator & Crystal osc. with freq.=60Mhz and Multiplier in my project. I need power amplifier to increasing power before transmitting it through Antenna
Hi all, I'm new to antenna design, however, am trying to design an antenna for ground penetrating radar. I would like to use a bow-tie antenna for its wide band capabilities, however, I'm strugling with the overall concept. Firstly, would a microstrip antenna be reccomended, condsidering the narrow bandwidth which is associated with them. If (...)
I would look at antennas that the UWB guys are using (vivaldi, etc). I did a low frequency (<1 GHz) ground penetrating pulse radar antenna with just an open-top microstrip structure, but with a very wide strip width (similar to what you would find in a GTEM cell), and it seemed to work well. The far end was terminated in a number of chip (...)
Hi all, Recently I have a project for my Master Thesis. The project is how to simulate the model of ground penetrating radar (GPR) using SystemVue. I face the problem to modeling the antenna (Tx and Rx) and channel (soil). Does anyone have experience with Systemvue? What is the best model for antenna and channel of GPR? I have the idea (...)
