Hello all, I am new to HFSS and I am designing Stepped Impedance Resonator(SIR) in HFSS 15. I have followed a tutorial pdf from Internet(only to know the design steps which does not have the steps to design SIR ) to complete the design in HFSS but during the simulation I am getting the error as port refinement, process hf3d er
port refinement, process hf3d error: Too few conductors were found on port 1. There should be one conductor for each terminal, with one additional reference conductor. Unintentional contact between conductors may cause this error.. (4:06:34 PM Dec 30, 2014)
please help me thank you !!
i am designing a dual band power divider at 1.8 GHz and 2.6 GHz. When i analyze the design i get an error stating port refinement error :port 1 is assigned to an internal face. I am attaching the hfss file along with it.Please tell me what to do with this?
Hello, I am trying to simulate the tapered CPW design which I imported from GDSII file. The basic Idea is to calculate the port to port impedance and calculate S params Now the HFSS is giving this error with the waveport. HFSSDesign2 withprobes(generic) (DrivenTerminal) port (...)
Hey, I'm trying to design a fractal patch antenna. The patch is fed by a direct-connected probe. However, on running the design, I get the following error message: port refinement, process hf3d error: port 1 is assigned to an internal face. Only allowed with lumped ports.. (...)
Hi Recently I use hfss to simulate a patch antenna but when i want to analyse all i have this error port refinement, process hf3d error: port excitation is assigned to an internal face. Only allowed with lumped ports.
hii, i need help, i hav use hfss 11 an problem encounter when i analyze my hfss antenna port 'Waveport1': No non port face could be found containing a terminal edge assignment. port refinement, process hf3d error: Number of terminals does not match the number of modes (...)
the lumped port can't touch the ground in my model,I have trid to expand the port, but it still get the error: "Fast sweep setup, process hf3d: '1' conductors touch lumped port '1', typically a lumped port contains 2 conductors. Please verify conducting boundaries and objects are (...)
I am working on a coplanar design and am having difficulties simulating the S parameters for the two-port design. I'm just trying to get it working with a simplified model first, shown below: 89140 (This shows the first port, a second has been defined on the other side of the microstrip line; the multiresonator should n

i m designing a patch antenna in HFSS at 30 tetra hz but i m having a following error : HFSSDesign1 (DrivenModal) 1. port refinement, process hf3d error: Failed to solve the problem due to lack of precision. The likely cause is that the frequency is too low. 2. Simulation completed with execution (...)
port refinement process hf3d : post does not have a solved inside material either side... i design the 4 port coupler using substrate integrated technology method ....I have received error is mention above the line.. i kindly request help with me
Discrete solution, process hf3d:"1" conductors touch lumped port '1'. typically a lumped port contain 2 conductor. please verify conducting boundries and objects are correctly assigned and touch the port. if a radiation boundary touches the port and it is desired for use during the port solution.
Hi all, I simulate microstrip in indicates as following: HFSSModel1 (DrivenTerminal) port refinement, process hf3d error: port 3 does not have a solved inside material on either side.. (1:13:59 May 03, 2012) Simulation completed with execution error on server: Local Machine. (1:13:59 may 0
I am getting following error in one of my simulation- Fast sweep setup, process hf3d: Poor convergence in computing port dispersion I require help to understand the following- 1)What is port dispersion? 2)How it effects the result? 3)How to correct it? Thanks Abhishek
I am new to HFSS and getting following error message- The background does not fully touch the following boundaries: 'PerfE1' . This may produce an incorrect result. (10:39 AM Feb 18, 2012) port refinement, process hf3d error: Too few conductors were found on port Waveport1. (...)
I have a problem. I run the simulation successfully in HFSS12. But when i want to do transient analysis in HFSS13 for the same structure. It reports that port refinement, process hf3d error: port '1' is not a TEM port as required for transient analysis. Here, waveport is (...)
