Hi sc4rppph, As a disclaimer, I don't use floquet ports, but the setup looks correct to me as far as I know (hfss 13). For the master/slave boundaries, you probably just want to use the specified phase angle rather than theta/phi for square structures. Hi everyone, I need to simulate the square unit cell of a cpw-fed slot antennas array with master/slave boundaries in hfss. The array lattice must be skewed of a distance d in order to suppress grating lobes due to the size (1.2λ) of the unit cell. This turns out to be a triangular lattice along the scan direction.

are u getting errors or results are weird? if that is copper u will have currents flowing around the boundary... The error is boundary overlapping error when performing validation check. I really don't understand what you are saying. I am posting the image of the unit cell and the research paper I am implementing. As you go through the research paper, its fig.3. that I am talking about. You can't. hfss does not give you this information nor allow you to specify what modes to be input to the port.
Set a periodic boundary condition (master/slave) so that the model is effectively infinite in one transverse direction. Then, choose an appropriate excitation. Waveports are not appropriate because they force the fields to be zero at all their boundaries. (For microstrip/CPW this does not matter, as long as the waveport is big enough that fringi
You may want to be careful in your setup. TheArcane has a good point. Unless you defined the feed of the patch antenna with a 50 Ohm RLC boundary condition or a lumped port definition with a 50 Ohm reference, your antenna is not matched and is rather left OPEN!!
