Dish antenna on a Synthetic aperture radar

I would like to know how the synthesized aperture would look like if a dish antenna is used for the syntheic aperture radar? How do we determine azimuth resolution of sar in the case of a dish antenna? Is it possible to electronically reduce the effective size of the antenna?

Dear all : In my technology, about 50fF unit cap can achieve 10 bit resolution for CDAC type sar ADC. Now if I use split cap to reduce total capacitance, the result is bad. Does anyone know what the effect for using split cap array ? How large unit cap shoud I use ? thx~~

How do you deal with SAR problem

A well-distributed near-field radiation can reduce the sar. Sometimes (if the mechanical design allows this) increasing the distance between antenna and human body model (only 1mm or 2 mm) helps to pass sar requirements.
