You are likely looking for the Spice .STEP directive. This way you can add several parameters to be simulated and plotted within a single graph.
I am a bit lost about how to establish the parameters to establish differential pair routing. I am currently trying to route several differential pair and I am a bit new to this. I have searched online some tutorial but I don't find any really explaining **easily and out of the theory** with sipmple succession of steps about how to do it I have
Like the product binning for finished products, some models or model parameters can/may be binned , i.e. allocated in several categories, or bins.
Did you ever check the PTM model files? You can find therein tox (1.4nm) and rdsw. Leff is an abbreviation for several different parameters - so I'm not sure which one you think of. Which model file? Use that one which fits better for your application. Check the differences in the model files. E.g. rdsw is different.
There are over 75 families of logic still active with variations of several parameters. The fastest rise times will always be current mode logic. the best in class CML like the ancestors ECL can achieve very low rise times. The fastest I have seen is ~10 ps with 50 Ohm terminations. The differential versions of current switches are LVDS, HSTL,
Following simple question: When I add a SPI 3-wire serial interface in QSYS I can set several parameters like: Type, clock speed, data width etc.. So why do I need those parameters when I setup the SPI interface directly in VHDL? In other words, are those parameters only valid when I this interface with a NIOS? Thanks!
Dear all, i have CST data for S-parameters (s11 and s21) and i want to calculate for complex permittivity and permeability on matlab using NRW. I tried several times but is not giving me the exact result. I went through several materials but my code doesn't work still. kindly help me out
You must be aware that there are several parameters that define the simulation framework. Are you sure that all these are really configured to the same values ?
You can perform several simulations using the minumum/maximum allowed values for these parameters so that you can predict the range of the output within this uncertainily. It is called "Monte Carlo" simulation.
Hi, I have a Nios system with Qsys components such as Interval timer, UART, SDRAM and some PIOs. My system specifications are DE0 Nano, Quartus 12.1 sp1, Altera monitor program. Nios II system are interfacing with several VHDL blocks. I am able to read data from FPGA to Nios processor, then transmit this data to Uart component
You can superimpose (i.e. put in series) several ac voltage sources with different frequencies and voltages Or you can use an FM ac source and modulate it with a (lower) frequency spectrum You can sweep the frequency of an ac voltage source during an ac analysis (but only with constant voltage, and only analy
Hello. I've simulated several rings model in CST using lumped ports which have no reference node. When I import the S-parameters into ADS, I found that all ports are single-end and connect to a reference node, the ground in most cases. However, I really need them not connect to a same reference and keep them differential. How should I do?
H80 kva... That's enough power to supply several homes. Are you looking for an alternator/generator only, or do you also want an engine attached, to drive it? I already hv an engine, i just need to buy an alternator. Plz help me in finding parameters for comparison of alternators
In MC context I just know of global and local variation parameters. Local variation parameters refer to variations between the same devices (or circuits) on the same wafer, whereas global variation parameters refer to those variations over several wafers, even several lots of wafers.
Hello all, I need some help/suggestion with my design in CST MWS. I have my structure with several lumped elements (inductances and capacitances). I thought of directly using the S-parameters of these lumped element values directly provided by the manufacturer instead of using the static values. For this, in general, we define one discrete port
it seems you are posting several queries on cmos schmitt triggers have you looked at the application notes, or articles on them?
There are several circuit faults, LO2 and HO2 interchanged, both HS pins that are necessary for bootstrap operation unconnected. So at present, the circuit can't work. But convergence problems aren't unlikely with MOSFET switching circuits, thorough tuning of transient analysis parameters may be required to get the circuit work after correcting
Try to sketch the circuit on paper. There are no generics or parameters involves, just actual port signals. The component definition says what are the in and output signals, just trace the signal flow from top level inputs to outputs. Unfortunately, there are several typos in the code, please refer to the original exercise problem. Output si
Please can anyone help with matlab codes to invoke a single program several times, using different values of input parameters for each program execution to get different outputs. Thanks

Referring to the original question, I don't think that you actually need a high-ohmic resistor to determine your OTA parameters. I presume there are several more intelligent methods.
There are several aspects determining the capacitor selection: - 1 or 3 phase input - accpeptable DC bus ripple voltage - capacitor AC current rating designing an inverter should include a calculation of capacitor parameters, I think
There are several LCD libraries you can download and use without having to bother about all the internal LCD parameters. Try this library it is one of the well knows libraries for AVR. Copy the files in the project folder and change the header to reflect your settings
There are several parameters & setting which you have to take care of. Without specific details on how & what your circuit/ code looks like, it's difficult to say. Please post these. In the meantime - where is your SPI clock coming from ? If its a 'slave', then your clock has to come from some 'master'. This clock better be >> ("some data")x10x10K
Your best bet is to get hold of the Ansys website and download their Antenna Design Kit. It's a free download; in it you will find several worked examples and monopole antennas are included. You can then specify the antenna parameters (ground plane dimensions, centre frequency of 3.4GHz etc.) and it will automatically generate a model with the corr
I assume that you want to see time domain parameters of the pulse, like high and low level, rise time, overshoot? You would need at least around 5 GHz bandwidth to get an idea of the exact waveform, so you'll find yourself in a several 10K $ instrument price range. P.S.: Is it possible to use 50Mhz bandwidth osciloscope ? Divider ?[/QU
It's rather unlikely, that a 500 mA PTC will ever trip in PICkit 3. I guess, it has been provided to avoid a risk of fire in case of serious damage of PICkit 3, if it's connected to a not correctly current limited USB port. There are some PCs, where VUSB is directly connected to +5V rail, which can supply several 10 A. But the 500 mA PTC can't p
Hi all, I need to apply GA to optimize a configuration of vectors(each vector represent a sub-system parameters) to have the best performance of the whole system(composed of interconnected sub-systems). The algorithm has to choose each vector element(integer between 1 and 3) for the several vectors to have as nearly as possible to the desired fin
Hi all! I'm a new comer and I need some help! I need to apply GA to optimize a configuration of vectors(each vector represent a sub-system parameters) to have the best performance of the whole system(composed of interconnected sub-systems). The algorithm has to choose each vector element(integer between "a" and "b") for the several vectors to ha
1. You should get this info from the MC sim. Output Log 2. If you have a single model file, copy it to a new model name and change the parameters accordingly. Then simulate this new model. If you get process & mismatch information from a central .scs model file with several corner sections (typ, min, max, ss, fs, sf, ff) (or separ
Hi guys, maybe some of you are already experienced with Basic Linear Algebra Subprogram (BLAS) libraries from several vendors. Right now I have been looking (skimming) at Intel and AMD implementation but I noticed the interface functions are not exactly the same albeit the parameters might be (having only 24 hours experience on this don't justify t
I guess, you want to use the PWM circuit as a DAC. What are your requirements in DAC terms? Resolution, update rate, settling time? What are the available hardware PWM parameters of your microcontroller, respectively the expected frequency, resolution and accuracy of a software pwm solution? You'll notice, that there several absolute limitations an
erikl is correct several foundry rulesets for Calibre neglect the difference between m and nf, the devices undergo parallel reduction and are compared as such. While this should not compromise the extracted netlist accuracy it can easily create mismatch between schematic and post-layout simulations even when parasitic are not to blame. Using DSPF
Hi everybody, I have downloaded CMU_ARCTIC speech databases that contain several information regarding F0, EGG, LPC ... ect parameters of speech signal, But I don't know how to read this data base using matlab. Anyone can help me? the data base can be downloaded using this link Festvox: US
It is possible take geometric informatios about objects using camera. But you need a lot of pictures, and also compute some camera parameters ( like, focal distance ). This can be achieved by only one camera getting picures on diffrent known positions, or also several static cameras. This method is called 3D Reconstruction. Once all that geom
It depends on several parameters, but mostly how much power and area you are willing to spend. In general, for a 12-bit (or higher) resolution ADC, some sort of calibration is a must.
When set the environment parameters for LVS in Cadence, there is an item named "rule set", and there are several options, such as "M1", "M1 no bind". What confused me is what's the meaning of "no bind" here? Thanks in advance.
How do we calculate the tuning range (%) of a tunable filter? Thanks John This cannot be answered in general. Depends on several parameters (technology, frequency range, topology, tuning subject, ....)
There is no general recommendation for Co. As soon as you know the reason for including Co (time response to input voltage and load changes, loop stability) you will see that the value depends on several parameters (placement of poles and zeros) . And don't forget the ESR effect.
Hi, I'm working on feature extraction from speakers voice using MFCC. I was thinking of improving the accuracy of speaker verification by weighing the different feature parameters (12 of them) depending on their intra-speaker variability. By letting the person speak his name several times during enrollment and measuring which parameters have (...)
Hello, I'm usung Cadence Virtuoso ADE and want to perform several DC Sweeps with different supply voltages (VDD). During these simulations another parameter needs to be swept from 0V to VDD (but not exceed VDD). Is it possible to define the max value for the DC sweep range as a parameter named VDD? And if so - how can I do it? Thanks for yo
If you want to cover several manufacturers at once, some of the best ones are at the distributors e.g. They aren't perfect, and may not have all the parameters you want listed, but they can give you a starting point. So, for Jfets: Keith.
What is the value of Channel Length Modulation Factor (lambda) in 180nm CMOS for nmos and pmos transistors? Thanks. I suppose you are aware that the Channel Length Modulation Factor (lambda or CLM) depends on several parameters, very much on the channel length L itself, as well as on Vds and
Hi, I've searched for several guides on how to draw a resistor and capacitor layout but all the results returned in using cadence in which the layers are different from using silterra. My questions here are basically: 1. I suppose there are different types of resistors (poly, diffusion and etc?) as well as capacitors (mim, mos?) therefore, may I
Hi, I want to do a corner analysis along with several other variable parameters for my design. At present the line specifying the model file looks like this... modelFile( '("/home/pratap/cadence/foundry_data/umc13mmrf/../Models/Spectre/ L130E_HS12_V241.lib.scs" "ss") ) All I need to change
There are several manufacturers making similar 40 kHz ultrasonic transducers. The exact parameters (capacitance, bandwidth) may be slightly different.
As a first point, OP295 is still in production and on stock at many catalog distributors, so if you don't know the exact application requirements, you may want to use the original part. There are of course some OPs with similar specs and many that are similar in several parameters but different in some. In my opinion, it's not meaningful to sugg
Hello, I have been using the optimization feature in ADS (for Momentum). I followed one of the examples (a coupler in the documentation) to set up my own optimization. In the optimization that I use I have several traces changing length as parameters of optimization. The problem that I have experienced is that the traces “grow”
Hi all, I think this is a basic one. I'm new to ADS. My circuit consists of a FET device+biasing network+matching network. I'm interested to see the power gain (and other S-parameters) for different values of one of the inductors of the network. The desire output would be a plot with several power gain traces for different inductor values. 1. H
Hi, I am trying to calculate S-parameters with field calculator in HFSS. I used an incident wave excitation and defined several evaluation planes. However, my calculation based on Poynting vector can not even get the well-known rectangular waveguide correct. Can anyone give a tutorial on this, please? Thanks, Keating
