using CST,you can use parametric sweep to find the best thickness of the superstrate I think it's not any deterministic relation for thickness of superstrate so the general solution is trial and error.

I think it's not very difficult,so you can use parametric sweep to get the best size of your feeding. What? Let's try to think, instead of trial and error. The port area needs to cover the signal conductor and the corresponding ground returns.

Hi Chris, there is no way to change the box size from within a parameter sweep. For a given model, the box size is fixed. Your approach to set the box for the maximum size, and then use linked ref planes that follow the parameters, is the correct procedure. You have to use HB noise controller in ADS. Provide sweep. See the help provided in ADS. It will give you the procedure.
Hi, as to the Gm simulation, you can use "DC" analysis to sweep input differential voltage, and detect the output current, and then use "deriv" function in the calculator. for Rout, use "SP" analysis, you can get parameters such as Z11, Z22, etc. and Z22 is what you want. Its seem to be quite tricky design. I wold suggest you to change the size of 2nd and 3rd iteration trough parameter sweep.

You can set W or M-factor as a variable. Then run Parametric analysis. Select variable to sweep, set FROM and TO, number of steps. After analysis will be over use calculator fuction delay. It will plot Delay vs Parameter (or Variable).

I was getting this problem somtimes. To fix it, I changed my sweep from fast to interpolating and decreased the radiation box to just over a quarter wavelength in size around the object. The interpolating sweep just gives better results and doesn't take much more time. kj.

2itaifrenke Thanks for your HFSS "sweep" guide. One small remark. The Fast sweep method is very hungry to a memory. And that is the main reason why I use Interpolating sweeps instead. With a mesh size > ~100.000 it is not possible to use Fast sweep in practice.
