I am not familiar with spectre - and, hence, I know nothing about it´s capability to analyze S/C circuits in the frequency domain.
However, all other simulation packages known to me (LT-Spice, PSpice, TopSpice, ...) are able to analyze the frequency response of S/C circuits (time discrete systems) only after the circuit has been transferred into a

Hello everyone,
I'd'like to design a switched capacitor amplifier 94797, But I don't know how does this amplifer work. Here is my own point of view: in the S1 phase, the circuit in the sampling phase, VCM and LM49 supply a CMFB; in the S2 phase , the circuit is amplified stage. However when I use the spectre simulation

Sampled Mode exists in PAC and PXF of Cadence spectre.
This mode is similar to "timedomain" mode in Pnoise Analysis of Cadence spectre.

hi
Also I have the above problem.
Why there is not any newer version of "simulating switched-capacitor filters with spectreRF" document for spectreRF2008?
In the above doc the netlist defines only the period and maxacfreq; while in specreRF there are so more parameters required, for example "Fundamental tones" and beat (...)

I designed a switched capacitor PGA for gain settings of 0dB to 12dB.
To check the thermal/flicker noise contribution of this circuit, I used .NOISE analysis (spectre). The circuit was kept in closed loop. I would like to request for feedback on the following:
1) The noise summary indicates the "output noise power" and "input noise (...)

I cannot see your image but if its a switched capacitor amplifier, try the periodic steady state analysis to get the periodic operating point, and then do a periodic noise analysis. This is of course only possible if you have spectre RF. Or else, take both the on and off states and do a noise analysis on each state using a regular SPICE simulation

Hello Friends...
Can anyone guide me how to do PSS analysis in Cadence spectre.
Coz i need to simulate switched capacitor filter for which PSS analysis is required.
Can anyone tell how to do brief...
Thanks in Advance

Hello,
how to simulate the phase margin of switched capacitor differential amplifier (two capacitors on each side instead of simple resistor amplifier). I want to simulate the open loop gain and phase but how to adjust the dc operating point when there is no resistor back to the input. Shall I close or open the switches.
Thanks for the Help!

Hi all,
There is blowup error when simulating switched-capacitor amplifier with spectre. However, it does not happen when I put ideal capacitors. Is there any idea?

I have run a PSS/Pnoise analysis for my sampling & hold circuit. The
structure of circuit is switched capacitor, flip around with a
gain-boosted amplifier. When printing noise summary, I found the top 8
noise contributers (they generated 70% of total noise) are not from
main amplifier, but from gain boost amplifier (AUX amplifier). It's

Hi, all.
I would like to know how to simulate ac response of switched capacitor circuits.
Say, I designed a bandpass filter using switched capacitor circuit technique, then how to simulate with Cadence in order to see the filter's frequency response (i.e., bode plot).
How to get ac response for the circuits (...)

Hi
I have do an academic project in switched capacitor filters.I have some doubts in it
1.Spice 3f5 is very slow and most of other universities use spectre there any other free tool available for the simulation
2.Can we use cider(berkeley mixed mode simulator or gnucap (geda project mixed mode simulator)
3.What will the best type of

Hi, all,
Could someone kindly tell me how to simulate an SC filter using spectre? and what are the importane points to note during the simulation?
Any suggestion will be appreciated.

I am using spectre to simulate switched capacitor type differential
opamp using PSS and PAC for the AC reponse.
However, after the simulation there is an error:

No "VF" data for node "/OUTN"
when I want to display the waveform.
Do I miss some point or any setting need to display the (...)
