Guys, I'm trying to interface gps module mt3333 with 8051 but unsuccessful til now. My gps module is not showing me proper values in hyper terminal, i.e. it is not showing me latitude or longitude. Also in $GPRMC statement it is showing a letter 'V' which stands for data not valid. So can anyone help me with (...)

Hi, I've completed my Vehicle tracker working with 89c51 + 89c52, where 51 controlled gps data and its ping 10 keeps sending data to 52's MCU pin 2 and 52 MCU is serving main program including serial communication with siemens s-46 model. Now I've connected the SIM300DZ and SIM300D none of the working as per my code used for previously sieme
hello everyone, I need your help for sending gps data by GSM module using microcontroller 8051... I can not send data by gsm module which is SIM900.. Need C code or assembly code for both of them. Thank You.:-(
Hi , I need to display gps location on a LCD wireless using RF 433 module,HT12E/D and 8051. would you please provide us c code for the same? Here i am attaching my proposed hardware schematic
You need not call me sir... I'm an engineering student. And Yes., the IP core 8051 is available in India but is a bit costly..
K2DGR8, It depends on the module, but most current ones support standard NMEA183 output. You'll set up the gps to output the sentence of your choice (for instance, for lat/long, you would pick the GGA or RMC sentences). From there it's just a matter of reading in the string and parsing it in your 8051, picking out the lat/long data). (...)
so displaying data on LCD is not the problem...? first you are reeving data in interrupt mode..? your receive function doesn't seems to be an ISR...(may be i am wrong because it is more than 4 years i have not used 8051) void receive_data() { info=SBUF; //Read SBUF if(check<7) //Condition to check the required dat
Experts, I am receiving serial data from a gps module that is NMEA streams. Then displaying on LCD. Streams are received but the error rate is significantly high, almost 2-3 dummy values per line.. I have done this on 8051 with no errors but struggling with PIC. Here is my code, please suggest. void main() { unsign
Hello guys am doing project related to gps i am using 8051 and i am able to interface it to a LCD and show the nmea sentences on it sent by the gps module . Now i want to only show the longitude and latitude on the LCD So kindly help me to parse it using c. thanx
hi all , i have a falcon gps module and i want to simulate the data comin in from it using keil so that i can burn the code later on 8051 . i am able to see the data on the hyper-terminal , but am not able to take in the data in keil . Can u plz tell me if i have to alter any settings in keil , to get the serial data coming in ?
I work project contain 8051 and gps reciver and GSM help me in to find the suitable GSM mdoule for my project (GSM work in serial , low cost)
use 8051 micros or other types like AVR with MAX232 RS232 interface IC,to connect to GSM and gps modules(you need 1 RS232 port for GSM and another one for gps). Use AT commands according to module datasheet(GSM), for gps use NMEA0183 protocol. you should send and receive data by micro (...)
Check this out: In your case Rx pin of 8051 will be used to receive data from gps module and Tx pin will transmit extracted string(s) to PC serial port .. Regards, IanP
Hi all , i want to make a project with gps module , now i want to know how should i communicate the module with MCU ( 8051-MCS or AVR ) do these modules use ATcommands ? i have heard something NMEA interface , what is it , is it some protocol like ATcommands ... ? and if i buy a (...)
