Hello people ,
I have conventionally used RO4350b for high frequency upwards of 6Ghz and the usual FR4 for below 1Ghz . I was recently recommended the 185HR

I'm simulating a slot-fed dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) with a parasitic strip.
The simulated structure is as follows:
1- Microstrip line etched on the bottom side of the substrate
2 - slotted ground plane (PEC) on top side of the substrate
3 - DRA placed on the ground plane
4 - Parasitic conductor element etched on the top (...)

1. how various slot position are determined based on the current density.
2. what is the relation between the two. the higher the current density near the radiator the better antenna it is.?? so what steps are generally followed when slots are to be cut in antenna, and also
3. what is the relation between the (...)

Some authors start their design from cutoff frequency. (DFW/SIW slotted arrays). So waveguide has width a little wider to obtain cutoff frequency a little lower than slot resonating frequency. But i have many concerns. If waveguide is narrow, then guided length may be larger than free space wavelength.
My idea: maybe it is good idea to choose s

Hi,
Two slots on circular patch give rise to a circular polarized antenna...
I suppose you've only one feed ? Perhaps your slots are not optimized and your two degenerate mode are not properly excited.
Regards

In case of air filled waveguide or SIW with Er<2.5 performance of SIW slot array is good, and it is easy to predict by using simple calculations. But when Er=4, slot array is performing poor. Single radiating slot in SIW cavity still could be optimized and perform great. Although, when slots are combined in series, current (...)

Hi
I'm trying to hit the resonance of a slot on rectangular waveguide antenna. Its always capacitive, I want to add inductance to get resonating at the right frequency. I tried almost every thing ( width and length of slot, distance from the edge, displacement from the center line ) all don't shown any inductance added? Any one can help (...)

I read that impedance of slot can be found in simulation by putting reference plane of port in slot (something on displacement of slot from center line)
I would move slot around in simulation and look at

Hi normally we use PIN diodes for pattern reconfigurable antenna. My question is that as the current in antenna is ac how does the PIN diode works. Because diodes only let current flow only in one direction? When a pin diode is forward biased does it allow the ac current to flow in both direction?

Hi Terminator3,
I guess you are telling slots like "f" and "g" in this figure (waveguide in TE10 mode). Right?

There is a bit of information in "Modern antenna Design, 2nd Edition" by Thomas Milligan (Wiley-IEEE Press, 2005), section 5-24 .
(I saw more information in some other book, but now I don't remember

Maybe posting two main problem description would get more answers, post some pictures of your results (S11, etc.). What do you want to achieve, which frequencies, what substrate, picture of your design (not everyone have HFSS here). I suggest not using dumbbell antenna. Why not using simple SIW with two different slots? It can easily met many requi

I wish to design a substrate integrated waveguide slot antenna. I have designed the antenna using hfss15.0 software. But my solutions are not matching with the original solutions of the paper. I am hereby attaching my .hfss file of my project and also the paper that I am following. I am new in this domain and I am not getting the desired (...)

hi ,I did a simple slot antenna in HFSS using HFSS design kit to build the model.
the target freq is 0.95GHz
129759129760
the S11 and smith chart is good
129761129762
so I simulatate the 2D pattern for slot antenna for single freq point at 0.95GHz

Hello, i'm a new in design antennas, and having some problems in repeating experiments. I dont now how correctly feed double slot antenna. 129544. The arrow indicates the attachment detector. I calculated the two cases, and the first is right for me, but it does not work. But second is working, but i dont now, is it correct?

Hello,
I want to make a slot.
I want my patch antenna to resonate at two frequencies. I want to know is there any particular dimensions of the slot to resonate the antenna at desired frequency.

I am working on one project which is "Wide-band antenna for medical application" i am supposed to achieve the miniaturization of the same.
