best is always User Guide and then Reference from tool docs. If you are a starter then it is difficult to understand..
There is no best pcb software. They ALL have annoying bugs/features. I've used OrCAD, Dxdesigner (Mentor), and Altium. OrCad is, IMO, the easiest. Dxdesigner and Altium are powerful, but sometimes all those features get in the way of ordinary tasks. For example, the most common thing you're EVER going to do is draw a (...)
Thermal pcb design is always an interesting problem. These days there are many solutions dependant on the circuit complexity and how many layers required to get the routes in. I recently did a 12 layer (all 2 ounce) flexi-rigid layout with numerous D pack and similar devices, lots of copper pours and thermal vias. The best use for metal clad (...)
+1 for Kicad. All the tools, including schematic capture and auto-routing are free. The later versions have useful features like "push and shove" routing and track length matching, very useful for high speed circuits. best of all, it's cross platform, I use it in Linux but the files are compatible with Kicad on Windows, Mac and other OS too. Inci
Hello, I am building a battery powered application using one cell LIPO battery which is 2500mAh, I am using a system on chip for GSM and BLE, GPS module, MCU IC, some sensors. I want to know what's the best design tips to power this application from battery please? is it good to power every module/Chip using a separate buck-boost converter ? o

Your best start point is pcb Shopper: It automatically requests quotes from the most popular manufacturers, always giving you the best price.
we are a start up company, looking to purchase a layout tool such as cadence, altium and mentor graphics. i need some advice. i want to what is the best tool for me. the aspect im looking at his cost, features (end of life bom analysis), easy to use/learn. please let me know your experience.
Use more efficient 15" drivers and use a much lower power amp is the best solution..... I have 4 x 15" in my home stereo driven from a 60W amp, plenty of SPL, in fact it can go far too loud so why such a big amp.... I use 4 of these... 98.6dB 2.83V/m If I used 92.6dB 2.83V/m drivers I would have to use a 240W amp to get the same sound pressure out
Where to begin... The best option would be to do the IPC CID course... The second best is get the standards and read them... Then you will be able to gleam the pertinent parts... Such as supported hole pad to hole ratio etc. There are no hard and fast rules that you can just import I am afraid, each design is different, what the standards (...)
I've been using Orcad on windows, would have a compatible or equivalent for Linux?
Now in 2015 , besides Eaglepcb, what are the other popular softwares available for pcb design in the market? Which are best?
Hii, The best thing is follow the schematic in the datasheet of this microcontroller.
Hi, I am looking for a job on project basis of pcb designing,I have experience of designing in Altium designer,PCAD and Eagle of about two years. I do have a team of professional pcb design Engineers with vast experience. We provide best services in much less cost. Please (...)
Where is the best place to post for a pcb designer to layout a simple pcb for an LED IR Illuminator? I have the circuit design but I don't know how to use, and don't have the time right now to figure out how to use, pcb design software. I imagine the (...)
What is the best freelancing website (like ) for doing electronics related job ? pcb design, micorocontroller projects, electronic circuit design, consultancy etc.
Hi all, I am totally screwed with my project. I wish to do a project using ARM Processor. So, before all, I selected Raspberry Pi for making a prototype. Now the prototype is over. The product that I wish to design is based on Linux that installed on ARM Processor. Now I need to design the pcb to make the standalone product. Here am screwed. (...)
Hi, I am new to rf design. I'm trying to design a 4 layer pcb. the stack-up looks like this: 1.GND 2.Power 3.signal 4.GND the data rate in layer 3 (signal layer) is about 16 GHz. What do I have to consider? I mean, what is the best method (draw finite GNDs? vias between layer 1 and 4?) in ADS Momentum 2013. I (...)
hiii, In my opinion altium designer is best software for pcb designing because lot of options are there as well as short cuts and routing also very easy.
hi what is the best reference to learn advanced pcb design (book or lecture) ?
