Use any differential bus transceiver such as SN75176 to convert into RS485 and use MAX232/ ICL232 to convert into
Hi I'm trying to read the temperature data from a sensor MCP9808 with a PIC12F683 through the i2c bus and then store it into the pic internal eeprom, working with mplab and XC8 C compiler. From the MCP9808 datasheet, these are the steps: i2c_start(); // send START command i2c_write (AddressByte & 0xFE); //WRITE Command (see Section 4.1
An ECC-capable memory controller as used in many modern PCs (mostly medium- to high-end workstation and server-class) can detect and correct errors of a single bit per 64-bit "word" (the unit of bus transfer), and detect (but not correct) errors of two bits per 64-bit word. Hamming code [
The 8051 is not designed for DMA. In order to do DMA, the processor needs to disconnect from the bus, and the 8051 is ALWAYS connected to the bus. I suppose you could add some external hardware to implement DMA, but that just sounds too messy. Why did you pick a processor that can't do what you want it to do? My advice would be to either select
The first computers used many different bus widths but the reason the numbers we use today were chosen is they are the minimum (and multiples of the minimum) of the size needed to hold a single decimal digit. The numbers 0 - 9 require four bits so that is what was chosen. The remaining bit combinations we used to extend 0-9 to 0-F making hexadecima
I haven't seen much critical signals here.....Crystal circuitry is routed OK. 50 Mhz controller with Rise and fall times of 3ns ..for most of the outputs you have resistors which will still decrease the rise/fall times. I am not sure about CAN bus....... I didn't see much problems for this.
I am doing a project about bus converter. What I am thinking is to to connect them on a micro-controller. Cause I don't any experience with them before. So I want to test whether it is work or not. Can anyone give me a idea about the circuit? And also what type of signal they are. I am going to use PC to simulate the signal. Thanks in ad
I havent really gone through the datasheet for LPC2148 but i can say that the chip hasnt got the built in CAN controller. You can use any CAN controller using SPI bus and connect to an CAN transceiver. Try using MCP2510 as CAN controller and TJA1042 as CAN transceiver. uc--> MCP2510 --> TJA1042. To view the CAN (...)
Dear all Salaam Is there anyone who could tell me why integrated VMEbus interface solutions which CYPRESS long time ago has developed a complete set for it (i.e.VIC068A and CY7C964 , ...) has been obsolete and there isn't any famous company that payed any attention to this nowadays popular bus controller? In addition the CYPRESS itself has (...)
can any one explain what is the difference between DMA and Central DMA. In the PC world, I believe "central" DMA refers to a single DMA controller chip (8237 I seem to recall) that is used for all DMA transfers on the bus not performed by the CPU. In a PCI system, due to the bandwidth of the various devices an
3 slaves or 100 slaves or 1 slave, it doesn't matter; the protocol is the same. The master sends out an address and only the slave whose address matches is allowed to drive the bus. This might help
Hi all, How to eliminate the turnaround cycles in Memories. WiKi: turnaround cycles are number of clock cycles it takes to change access to SRAM from write to read and vice versa. Thank you
i an working on a can project using mcp2515 as can controller. If i have get a bit error , or stuff error in bus than how my controller will detect that is an error and which type ? ( i wanna to know how controller behave when get an error an how could i know about error...) thank u in adv....
Hi, Can any body tell me what is energy bus. I am confused whether it is called as system or controller. I have gone through any document. They are mentioning that. It has 6 contacts. 2 for DC, 2 for supplying the DC to Components and 2 two CAN_H and CAN_L. Which indicates that, it works with CANopen Communication. But i am confused. What is ex
hi, i am working with can protocol using mcp2515 and at89s8252 as host controller....i read the documents ...i have a doubt on bus recovery....actualy after a node goes bus off how it is written in dacumnets that for recovery 128*11 consecutive recessive bits will send ...i mean who will send these bit and who will recieve...i m reall
Hello, For a mains LED lightbulb to be Triac dimmble, it must also not have large capacitance on the primary DC bus I presume?..or else it will ring with the filter inductor too much when the triac snaps on? eg pg 16 and 17 of this triac dimmable pwm controller datasheet shows small dc bus capacitance..
hi ALL can some one guide me to some projects using pic microcontroller and can bus plus some advanced can bus tutorials best regards controller Area Network Projects, Dogan Ibrahim
The following CAN bus webinar offers both streaming media and presentation slides: Introduction to controller Area Network (CAN) BigDog
Hi guys, I don't know the difference between these 4 terms. infact,I know what PCI card and PCI slots are, but I don't understand where the PCI bus is. if i considering these two cases that: 1-PCI controller is a PCI CARD (so not integrated) 2-PCI controller is INTEGRATED in Motherboard The PCI bus, is it (...)
Hi Can anyone please tell me whether a LIN transceiver(MCP2003) is required in an interface between PIC micro controller with EUART and LIN bus in a vehicle? If it is required, then what is the use of EUART in uc for interfacing with LIN bus? Can I use the regular UART?Will the whole circuitry compatible with K-Line communication? My (...)
