I am trying to implement alamouti receiver,
r1 = h1 x1 + h2 x2 + n1
r2 = -h1 x2* + h 2x1* + n2
My **channel** is AWGN....what would be the coefficients h1 and h2 for the AWGN **channel**?

They are the discrete-time **impulse** **response** of the **channel**.
Ideally, one transmitted symbol gives an output only in one symbol time without interfering other symbols, i.e. the **response** is ...0 0 0 1 0 0 0 ...
In you example, the symbol spreads over several time slices at the receiver with amplitudes 0.7, 0.8, ....

Im AWGN **channel**, matched filter is used to maximize the SNR, where the **impulse** **response** of the filter is a scaled- time-reversed- and delayed version of the pulse signal. But if we know the transmitted pulse signal, there is no need for demodulation, right? Then, how is matched filter implemented practically?
