Can anyone suggest a low cost series of high dielectric coaxial resonators (or possible SAW resonators) that I could use to make a combline filter in the 450MHz range? Being able to buy from a major distributor would be a big plus. Thanks!

HFSS can do the job of a 3D filter. But for 5 resonators, tuning is required. What kind of resonator configuration do you have? Is it combline? Waveguide? or something else?

don't have ads, but the key to make such a filter is the ability to "tune" the resonators. You want to use variable capacitors to tweak it in. Will solve a lot of parasitic reactance variations for you. Otherwise you will need incredibly tight tolerance components. I had good luck with a combline design at this frequency, using variable chip
