I'm trying to match a folded dipole to 50 Ohms using a 4:1 balun. The problem is a folded dipole is not exactly 200 Ohms, so a 4:1 balun does not result in a very good return loss. Hello everyone, I'd like to model a coaxial feed for a dipole in FEKO. The dipole is part of a Yagi antenna with a metal boom, so using a wire source between dipole feed gaps (the dipole is modeled with cylinders) inside the metal boom is causing problems. hello hntko There are two issues in your project which may cause this strange result. 1. out suface of coaxial line should be set to PEC. It is missed in your design. 2. radaiton boudary. requirement of wavelength/4. For simple,you may choose lump port.
