I'm pretty new to the embedded development suite, Xilinx Platform Studio. I've installed a rather old version of EDK (the 10.1 version). I intend to do a project on Web Server design, and stumbled upon a few doubts. 1. Is it necessary to call upon HDL wrappers for peripherals like the ethernet controller and the MPMC for SDRAM. while creating the
I am looking for an ARM single board computer for my IoT gateway project, who can recommend me one which could meet my requirements as below? Low power dual ethernet WIFI bluetooth OS Linux low price lifetime above ten years I had a look at an item from Forlinx embedded Tech. Co., Ltd and its name is i.MX6UL, its details are as below i.M

I am basically a hardware guy with no experience in embedded sw development. Answering this with reference to Xilinx FPGA and I am only speculating (have never done it myself before). Not sure if I answer your question, but did you try developing the higher level protocol stacks with Xilinx SDK? If not image, the SDK might be used to package s
We have a need for an embedded system/project that can accept a data and clock serial TTL level signal at up to 12 megabits/second and make the data available to ingest and examine by the processor. Selected parameters will be extracted from the stream and output to a display computer. We are flexible on that media and can use ethernet or a seria
The internet controllers are chipsets that perform the entire task of physical handshaking the signal, as well performs the logical negotiation of the protocol, and operate as 'slave' devices, whereas built-in ethernet controlers are nothing more than these same devices, but now embedded at the IC of the uC. For some reason, it seems that the curr
ethernet buddy, try looking for ethernet solutions over SPI or embedded in a similar processor as yours.. an ethernet to UART will be useless if uart can't get the throughput you need...
As a previous member indicated, if the particular STM32 device as an embedded Media Access Contorl (MAC) device, full implemenation of the ethernet interface still will require an Physical Layer (PHY) device transceiver which acts as a bridge between the Link Layer (MAC) and the Physical Layer Media using one of several protocols including Media I
Hi, I have TPC-31 Windows Ce embedded 6.0 system. And i m using GL865 serial modem for internet connection via dial up connection, But TPC-31 has only 1 Serial com port , i want to use internet from ethernet way What should i do connect for GL865 to ethernet gateway ? How can i build this things ? Regards
Hi everyone, I'd like to know if this works technically. I'm not an embedded systems engineer. I have plans to make a main control device powered by a PIC32MX795F512L that also has a 7 port USB hub on the same PCB powered by the USB2517. The PIC32 will connect to the computer via USB CDC and ethernet. Connected to the USB ports will be
Most Routers & Switches and Smart TV's for home use are using embedded Linux to operate the peripherals, flash memory with OS and RAM, There will be a kernel boot loader, OS and facility to update the OS as well as parameter tables using whatever serial ports are available. ethernet, USB etc. They are also used for GPS touchpads, Medical devices,
the XBee Zigbee modules could be a solution for control over the internet you could use a PCB with an internet connection (wired ethernet or WiFi) and a Zigbee coordinator
I'm not a developer of embedded system. My project is use AR9344 to setup a system in long haul clock convey purpose. I already have ART2 kit in hand, I want to make sure whether I could use USB device mode to config a Board based on AR9344(not fully comply to the DB120). Because there is no ethernet port or PCIE port available. I use a NAND flash
Hi, I have tried to implement the example design which provided with "Virtex 6 embedded Tri-mode ethernet MAC wrapper v2.3" in Core generator,on virtex 6 development board(ML605) When I program it on the board , the packets were successfully received by the FPGA,but the board is not transmitting back the packets.I am using "Wireshark" for an
what is the serial to ethernet model you are using? depending on the device there are various ways to configure them, e.g. serial command line interface, telenet, on-device web server, etc. e.g. the Lantronix XPORT
I have seen many jobs related to FPGA design or embedded systems design that require TCP/IP and ethernet skills. I am just curious as to what that involves. What exactly is a person supposed to know in this case and how is it applied?
if you have wired 10baseT you can connect to many embedded systems, e.g. Microchip there is the PIC18F97J60 with onboard 10baseT or PIC32s with onbard 10/100baseT or PIC24/dsPIC with an external ethernet transceiver such as the ENC28J60
Frankly, I not sure the ATMega32 is really required. There are several chipsets and embedded network modules which offer ethernet connectivity as well as an embedded TCP/IP stack. The AT90CAN128 has 128KB of flash, probably more than enough to store a several webpages and if not you can always add a serial EPROM to the design for more (...)
Hi all, I am doing remote sensing application. I am using LPC2148 as controller. The board doesn't have any ethernet so have to connect it through externally. After researching I found ENC28J60 would do my job. I am newbie in embedded system. My idea is to use SPI ports of LPC2148 to connect to the ENC28J60. Is this the better way to do this
Hello I am a beginner in embedded programming. and i need help I want to send audio captured by microphone over ethernet for further analysis. for this i bought a board from NGX here is now here are my questions 1) which debugger should i use KEIL UNILINK
