First of all I've managed to build from scratch a 3D fdtd code for modelling waves travelling in cylindrical waveguides. Hi all dears Can anybody help me , i dont know how to simulate a 3D nanoporous media with fdtd ? I use CAMFR software to simulate light prorogation inside a nanoporous medium. any suggestion can be a big help cheers.
For the SIW structure, full 3D EM simulator, like HFSS (FEM), CST (fdtd) should be used. The 2.5D simulator like IE3D, Momentum, Sonnet should not be used, since the the modelling will be more complicated and inefficient.

Hello; Not sure about the exact nature of the problem, just a suggestion. You could use the fdtd method for modelling the channel. try to find articles on modelling water as media in fdtd. This could solve your problem, but could be very lengthy
