Hi Everyone, I could really use some help. I'm new to HFSS and I'm trying to simulate a quad fractal monopole antenna system. My issue is that I am not sure what is the best way to excite the system. Lumped port? Wave Port? Other? I'm attaching my HFSS a file so you can take a look at it. Mike M.
Hi ji3n, Aren't you telling about a monopole rather than a dipole? It DOES use a ground plane. But later you mention a patch antenna. It does use a ground plane too, but this is very different to a Koch fractal dipole. Can you clarify? Regards Z

Hi, I have build some fractal antennas but had always trouble with feeding. The only one that worked pretty good was the sierpinsky dipole. That worked good, even so the simulations (MWS, HFSS) were not sucessful. However, I also tried the siepinsky triangle to feed like a monopole over ground. The measured results were also much better (...)
can someone please post the dipole example for cst, for some reason its missing from my instalation??
