I use the fast sweep. In previous versions of hfss, a discrete sweep was required. This might still be the case in newer versions (I'm not sure) -- if you can't get your plot working try it out.

My solution frequency is 8.4 GHz, but the whole structure is 500 mm by 500 mm by 500 mm that hfss runs out of memory when I run the simulation. I suggest you can just start with a random value and optimize the hfss or CST, only two parameters need to be optimized, according to my experience, it can be optimized very fast.

Hey, I am using hfss 13 and my design has many small cylinders(1000-10000). Size of the cylinders is small in compare to dimension of the design . While running it I kept getting the "out of memory" message even decreasing the # did not help that much so we are going to buy a new "fast computer". Do you have a suggestion for us?
