Hello All, I am a good user of hfss but i want to integrate hfss with matlab. i-e I want hfss to work at back end and monitor it through matlab. I am not getting any help from the link as its not being opened. please guide me.. I am a basic user of matlab though

i have created an array with 4 elements. The pattern in matlab is great. 127214 i designed same array on hfss, the result is awful but it looks similar. There are some symmetry problems along y axis. Radiation pattern on phi plane (at theta=90) is not same as matlab. i must figure it out What can be the problem? ple

u can use hfss GA for your aim and if u want u can load hfss with matlab in each part of your GA matlab can call the hfss for optimization and i cant understand what do u mean by telling the relation of s parameter and GA ????
You can print the plot to a PDF (with a PDF printer) and open the PDF with a vector drawing program like inkscape. Now you can modify the plot and save it in a format you need. Or you save the plot values to a *.csv (or text) file and redraw it in excel or better a program that can produce a vector output (like GNUPlot or matlab). If you (...)

Instead of using hfss to get the sum of all the Q values, use matlab, it is much more easy. After you plot the variable Q against frequency. Right click on the graph and export to .csv file. Then you can use matlab to find the sum of all Q values. -sv
Z21 is something different than the line impedance Z0 that you calculated in matlab. The spike in Z21 is what you expect in theory for a transmission line with this length. If you want to check the line Z0, you are looking at the wrong parameter.
You can try co-design your slot antenna with Ansoft Designer, in which you have to build your own library, and then you can export the Designer schematic into hfss 3D structure. Or you can use hfss-matlab api, which can be found from google. But theses tools are not precise and accurate and also take a long time to (...)
