I use Altium a lot and I never seem to have the width/gap modified. I have never done any microstrip (PCB based) antenna, but if you are using tracks they will turn rounded at the endings and every antenna of that kind I have ever seen are all rectangular. hello, i have a problem when i design rectangular patch antenna for GPS, there are words that say Defined reference frequency for open boundary condition (2 GHz) is larger than the lowest relevant system frequency (monitor at 1.57542 GHz). Please check open boundary settings to ensure accurate monitor results for the lowest frequency

for radiation pattern, go to Hfss/Results / Create report / Farfield / Radiation pattern for S11, input impedance will affect the s11 parameter. most of the times, your input impedance should be 50 ohms, and your matching by choosing proper width and height of microstrip feed line could be well...
