Hi! I have a hard switched mosfet bridge connected to a 12V 48Ah battery through 30cm long cables. There is a single 1uf film capacitor on the PCB connected across the power rails. The cables will have self inductance that calculates to 300nH - 500nH approximately. The combination of capacitor and stray cable inductance should give a ringing

I simulated a simple low-side gate driver made of BJT totem-pole. The simulation was clean. Now I added a 10nH inductor in series with the power supply of the driver, to get an exaggerated view of the parasitic track inductance. The simulation was still clean. Changing the mosfet won't help. The ferrite might. Board layout also can contribute to the ringing.

A mosfet as bypass capacitor may be "de-Qed" to keep supply rails from ringing. Large scale ringing could overstress the gate (Vdd+crest). But the resistor can't prevent gate damage. MOS gates to major rails often is an antenna violation. A resistor can get you past the "letter of the law" even if it does not mitigate actual antenna (...)

You haven't biased the bipolar transistors so there is a huge deadband - it cannot help ringing. You could try driving the mosfet directly from the opamp with a series resistor. Also, why use a 230MHz opamp followed by such slow components? Keith
