Dear sir myself maulik patel research scholar want to design low noise amplifier design using bjt in l band. So please guide me how to setup the bias network, matching and all other design parameters in ads as well as its mathematical analysis.
OK. I just have to redesign my amplifier to get minimum noise figure and to do that I am told design again using JOPT=0.2mA/um How should I begin to design my n-mos? and also what is finger width?
design of LNA has nothing to do with filters in a first order. Signal filtering is done somewhere down the signal path. The LNA problem is 1. have a signal with given magnitude, occupied frequency spectrum and source impedance 2. find an optimal or at least sufficient low noise amplifier to pick up the signal noise (...)
Hi, Well I have to design a low noise amplifier for ultra or narrow wideband applications. which simulator will you recommend considering I have to use multi gate mosfets. I don't have cadence or mentor graphics license so, Which is best free simulator out there? technology for LNA is 32nm since it will be integrated
Hi, for a more precise noise analysis you need to take 1/f corner frequency of the noise density into account. Then the AD620 is the worst for your low frequency range. (I assume you have high impedance input, so the current noise dominates) **** Read through Linear Technology "design Note 15": Klaus
You cannot see the pA signal because the noise is high. If the signal is varying only slowly (low frequency) you can consider a chopper stabilized amplifier. If your signal is periodic, you may be able to design a averaging setup. Essentially everything boils down to the nature of the signal. Perhaps you can consider a mosfet instead of a (...)
I'm designing Low noise amplifier in ADS as part of my project but I'm facing problems during simulation.I went through an earlier thread where you had mentioned about TSMC design kit. Could you please send the design kit of TSMC RF CMOS 0.18 or 0.13um technology. Thank you, Karthik My email ID: (...)
I am new into design of broadband Low noise distributed amplifier MMIC using pHEMT device. I am unable to design the dc biasing scheme. The DA is supposed to be 2G-20G with gain to be near 6.4dB. I have curves of ID-VDS, which point should me use. 128014 if there are tutorials would be very useful. Thank you g
as I see here TM2 is PMOS and TM1 is NMOS. You have to use TM2 on top not TM1 - - - Updated - - - are u using noise cancellation technique ? - - - Updated - - - this is 127868
hello every body I want to design a Transimpedance amplifier circuit like this, someone can advise me on how to do this? plesase help me :sad: TI Gain (dB ohm)=80 -3dB Bandwidth (GHz)=1.9 Power (mW)=12 Avg. Input current noise (pA/√Hz)=1.93 125312
Hi everyone, I am a super novice at this stuff, but I have made a "sound system". A speaker unit with 3 channels, which can listen to the 3 channels simoutanously or by demand. On the microphone unit you can setup the channels. I want to reduce the "background" noise / noise from the amplifier. There are way too much (...)
Hi. I want to use a power amplifier and a low noise amplifier in my schematic in ADS. I have downloaded a design kit for required LNA from Modelithics and installed it easily in ADS library , but I do not know how to install a specific PA in ADS. From mini-circuit I have just downloaded s-parameters. I should use a (...)
140dB (!!) is a voltage gain of 100 million. Then an OTA with an input offset voltage of 5mV will produce an output of 500,000V when its input is zero! What about low frequency noise being amplified 100 million times? Don't be silly.
Hello my name is Alberto , I would like to design a RF amplifier with transistor BFR 540, I attached a scheme that I have to see if someone know about Genesys or other simulation program can help me in designing the project, if is possible 2 or 3 stages BFR 540, if anyone is interested in doing this project and the need the bjt BFR 540 can (...)
I am facing problem while designing a basic inductive source degeneration LNA. I fixed the gate bias of LNA for a particular current and got a noise figure of around 1dB. But when i used a basic current mirror(for the getting the same gate bias) the noise figure is increasing to the range of around 6dB. Can anyone give me clarifications for (...)
I have designed the LNA on ADS and practically implemented it too on Roger 5880 at 5.5GHz...I want to design a mixer that follows this amplifier using ADS.Can anybody guide me?
please can i have a guide on the design and simulation of a low noise amplifier at microwave frequency of 1.5 GHz using Microwave Office. please i need it very urgently. thank you.
While designing low noise amplifier (LNA), we are using both passive feedback and active feedback. what are its importance and limitations of active and passive feedback, while designing LNA Passive feedback means we are using R,L, C as the feedback elements in LNA Active Feedback means we are using Transistor as the (...)
Hi I would like to know waht is the advantage of converting voltage to current in low noise transconductance amplifier when in traditional LNA design output is measured in terms of voltage only.
i am designing a lna using Avago's transistors using Microwave office AWR. Doing a simulation using s2p file. i hav 4 file with different Id and Vd values and using one of them at Vd=3v and Id=40mA. but not getting proper I-V curve. ........Please anybody help me out that..
