I designed a simple one layer pcb by Eagle CAD and want to manufacture it, I send it to pcb fab but they told me my design can't passed their DRC. they told me the minimum spacing between the trace and board edge they can manufacture is 12mils, I setup the value but there are some "overlap" errors on the lower right corner. Is there any way (...)
I have seen multicore CPU designs with 50 layer boards with daisy-chain water cooling. circa mid-80's on mainframes. ($$$) also with pcb fab and gold plating done inhouse at a Sperry plant we closed with 200K square ft in TriCity Tenn. USA. Too expensive. You can consider a 2oz multilayer track + pwr plane for low inductance and Vcc-Gnd high capa
I'm panelizing two independent circuit layouts in Proteus/Ares. I've figured out how to panelize the two pcb layouts on one board using the Ares Gerber Viewer, but I'm stumped on how to add slots and/or mouse bites so the boards can be separated after I receive them from the fab house. So the question is, how to I create a routing slot or simila

Hi I would like to make a groove on pcb, which cannot cut through the pcb, instead it should have a small depth which can be user defined. So which layer in altium designer shall I draw the groove on? and how to define its depth and width? Thanks
The concentration is not critical, if it is weak it just takes a little longer before the resist is dissolved. I normally use pre-mixed developer which uses a combination of NaOH and KOH but it is quite expensive. I suggest you make a saturated solution at room temperature (not warmed up) and see how you get on with that. If you look at the pcb in
I think your company might have some pcb design and Manufacturing needs in the future. So we discuss if you need us to do the test board design and fabrications. Let us build some connections here and so we can cooperate on future pcb design spins. We would also like to communicate about our company, Our company--?EDADOC? was founded (...)
Hi All. Say I have a pcb layout with RF Microstrip traces on it. Although the Allegro pcb designer is able to show trace impedance (50ohm in my case) by certain stack-up and trace width, am I able to do sort of simulation and maybe check S11 for my layout before sending it to fab? If so, what kind of tools (ADS?) I can use and would you (...)
I suspect that some of my pre-production boards have over-etching problems. About 1/3 of the boards fail with 1 or more interface, a different interface on each. Previously a whole series of bare pcbs were scrapped as the pcb fab detected over-etching. This time it passed their inspection, but now some of the fully assembled boards have (...)
I am printing a 2-page fabrication drawing: Page one is the board/drill guide, and page two is just the fab notes and stack-up. The board outline is printed on both pages , even though my "board outline" mechanical layer isn't one of the layers selected to print for page 2. Is there a way to turn that off for? Thanks!
Can anyone recommend an affordable microwave pcb manufacturer. Got one quote for a 25 sq. in RO4003 2 layer for $500 each qty 2. Seems expensive to me, I am used to FR4 boards costing $33 for the same specs.
unless you get the pcb made at a fab house then there is no easy way to do it really all home made ways are time consuming , other than what is stated, What I have done in the past is when I laid out the pcb where you have got a cap/ic is placed a pad at the side of it so you can solder both sides to make sure the connection is made. This is (...)

Hello! I added MOUNT-PAD-ROUND3.0 from standard library named "holes", but where is the hole? I mean, i can see hole in the pad, but where it parameters that would be using fo drilling, i can see only center, without diameter. For me it is not obvious, how pcb shop will process my board. Should i do something with it or it is okay? Update: sorr
Hi all. I have an Aethra ADSL tester. Currently it runs with a battery but I would like to use it with an external power supply. Kinda I'm looking for identify two poles for the power supply. There are 4 pins on the power-in DIN-type connector. 9308193082 93084 Look
Hi Guys, I have designed a high gain microphone amplifer, using 0805 and soic pacakges. I have built a home made pcb and I had trouble reflowing with it, I had the via's to GND very close to the components pads. The underside of the pcb is a solid copper GND plane. I am going to get the pcb done by a proper pcb (...)
Oh, well that's just a matter of designing your antenna; selecting a specific dielectric +spacing and submitting to a reputable pcb fab house. The tolerances of the fabrication should be checked prior (you don't want a few mm difference detuning your antenna). pcb Express Fritzing fab
Just place full vias so the board outline goes thru the center of the vias. No need for any extra note for the fab house. They will fabricate the pcb exactly the way you design (what they see on the gerbers) - place the vias and route them so only half of vias are left.
