I worked with a high quality large intercom system that used time-division multiplexing to have up to 8 people and/or background music on one path. Then it had many paths. I modified it slightly for a major airport paging system so that its frequency response was -3dB at 15kHz and its noise and distortion were very low. The consultant wanted (...)

Hello all,
Why when we use space-time block coding (STBC) with single-carrier frequency-domain equalization (SC-FDE) we use a permutation matrix, while we don't use it in case of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM)?
Thanks

Hi,
I'd like to know how to implement time-Slicing in TI SYS/BIOS (former DSP/BIOS), in order to run several same-priority tasks pseudo simultaneously, without writing collaborative code.
Thanks,

Given a TDM system with 4 channels, say 4 signals (bandlimited) to fm1, fm2, fm3, fm4 are muxed and transmitted, using a sampling duration of 1/fs (i.e., within each Ts, samples of all the 4 signals are transmitted).
What is the sampling rate for each signal?? Will it be fs*4???

Hi guys, Im designing an OFDM system and then upconverted at 1 GHz. Now I have an idea of implementing TDM for this 1 GHz signal.
Is it possible, please explain from theoretical point of view and if possible, please help from matlab perspective.
Thank you very much,

Nobody else can help with this without full and accurate information on the
data each node must transmit and the total amount of time that takes(worst case).
By compiling the data you need to get help - you will have done the job yourself.
TDM is exactly what it sounds like.
Ontime and offtime per node.
The complications arise (...)

I would have thought that the bandwidth is more limited by the equipment you are using to do the multiplexing of the channels, and the style of multiplexing ....
time division mult. TDM, freq division mult, FDM etc etc. you want 20 - 30 channels ?
a fibre of hair thickness can easily support ~ 2000 (...)

Hi,
Iam in need of practical circuits for implementing experiments on Pulse code modulation and time division multiplexing that can be implemented in lab for undergraduate students.Kindly help.
Thanx in advance

Simple..
TDM:
time-division multiplexing (TDM) is a type of digital or (rarely) analog multiplexing in which two or more signals or bit streams are transferred apparently simultaneously as sub-channels in one communication channel, but physically are taking turns on the channel. The time domain is (...)

IN a Asynchronous TDM sysem out of 200 sources only 30 sources are active at a time as the input sources can generate data at a different rate, the time slots can have variable length of 1 nsec to 16 n sec. Calculate the over head bits added in every slot?
Dear friends any on can help to find the ans for this.

TDM stands for time division multiplexing while TDMA stands for time division Multiple Access .The main difference between them is as follows :
For both systems ,the user is given a certain time slot through which his data is to be transmitted then the user waits for the next frame to (...)

HI
i need to know how can i generate two channel time division multiplexing (TDM) of pulse amplitude modulated (PAM) signal and detect the same TDM PAM signal using a synchronizer in MATLAB.
please help. it's urgent.
thanks

Orthogonal Frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is considered as an effective technique in digital transmission under severe multipath fading. Its appeal has existed for some time, but it is only recently that its implementation has become technically feasible and costly compititive. Both transmitter and receiver can be implemented by DSP (...)
